Research training and development opportunities at the PEC for Member employee and students approved by the PEC Director
One seat on the PEC Center Advisory Board which includes an invitation to annual meetings where research by faculty and students will be presented, a copy of the annual report, the opportunity to provide feedback and suggestions about research, curriculum, and outreach. PEC Members are also invited to the annual meeting of the Virginia Tech Center for Power Electronics Systems (CPES)
Priority consideration for industrial sponsorship of research projects. Membership fee does not include cost of the project; specific research projects will require a separate contract between Member(s) and the PEC. Members may choose to jointly fund a project of the PEC
Identifying expertise of the PEC faculty for consultation concerning technical and educational issues
Interaction with students and an online venue for posting Member employment vacancies and internship announcements to provide priority access to power students and new graduates
Promote job vacancies through Virginia Tech Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) Student Services, the ECE website, and other applicable departmental publications
Receive information and updates about the PEC, its faculty, students, and programs.
Opportunity to visit the PEC laboratories and research projects.
Opportunities to present to electrical engineering students at Virginia Tech, including students who have chosen the power systems engineering track, such as recruiting presentations.
